Abigail Ogle is an American Morning News Anchor KOCO 5 NEWS. She is the daughter of Kevin Bowman Ogle, also an American television news anchor.

Abigail was born on August 19th. Although her year of birth is not on record, she was named the winner of Oklahoma Association of Broadcast Award, named 405 Magazine’s 2017 Anchor of the Year, 30 under 30 Honoree.

She is married to Jeff Ewing. Abigail and Jeff wouldn’t have met if it wasn’t for their shared love of sports. In July of 2013, Abigail was a sports anchor/reporter and Jeff was planning a major golf tournament at Oak Tree National in Edmond. Abby was asked to host a panel event in Edmond where Jeff was one of the panelists.

Abigail Ogle anchors KOCO 5 News at 6 p.m. weekday evenings, with co-anchor Jessica Schambach, Chief Meteorologist Damon Lane and Sports Director Bryan Keating. In addition to anchoring at 6 p.m., Ogle reports on breaking news and the day’s biggest stories for the 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. newscasts.
Ogle has broken a number of major stories for KOCO 5 News. She was first on the scene at the Norman hostage standoff in November 2014, reporting live for six tense hours as police negotiated a peaceful ending to the standoff. Ogle’s family has deep roots in Oklahoma. Some even took part in the Oklahoma land run. Having grown up in Oklahoma, she feels honored to serve the community she loves and help keep viewers informed and connected each day. Ogle is proud to follow in the footsteps of her grandfather Jack Ogle, who was also a KOCO 5 on-air personality.
She graduated from Edmond Memorial High School and from the University of Oklahoma, Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication. Abigael loves spending time with her husband, her dog, and is an active community volunteer. She dedicates much of her free time in support of The American Cancer Society, The Children’s Center, The Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame, and Make-A-Wish. Additionally, she works to support several events and fundraisers that help veterans and our wounded men and women in uniform. She also supports local animal rescue and adoption agencies.

Abigail and Jeff wouldn’t have met unless it was because of their mutual sports love. Abigail was a sports anchor/reporter in July 2013, and Jeff planned a major golf tournament at the Edmond-based Oak Tree National. Abby was invited to host a panel event in Edmond, one of the panelists being Jeff.
Abby and Jeff planned their wedding three years and dozens of sporting activities later. The bride-to-be noticed that the views of a groom are often overlooked. Abby also wanted Jeff at the wedding to feel “at home.” She asked him to portray in one word his perfect marriage. His answer? Fun.
Knowing that she wanted sports and fun to be part of an elegant wedding, Abby decided to put together a team. The sports-loving bride was thinking of it as a soccer squad. The QB is more likely to win the match if a quarterback is surrounded by skilled playmakers. Abby (and her mom’s head coach!) worked with talented, hard-working teammates to develop a perfect wedding for the couple.
Abby dreamed of an elegant, flower-filled wedding; a soirée in the garden followed by a reception with sports themes. The bride’s team (referred to as “The Dream Team”) identified several methods to inject sports into the reception without lowering the elegance level. Knowing that a lot of girly components would be there, Abby and her Dream Team went up with The Dugout. The unique location permitted visitors to choose from stadium food (gourmet hotdogs, sliders, pretzels, mac and cheese, and other favorite ballparks) while browsing Abby and Jeff pictures at various stadiums. The cake of Jeff’s St. Louis Cardinals was shown predominantly!
The reception highlight was the Ogle Family Band featuring several Abby family members. Uncle Kent of Abby sang the lead as her father rocked out on the drums. Jeff joined them, surprising everyone! The bride knew little that her groom had been weeks of rehearsing!
The photo booth was another fun aspect of the evening. The pair wanted theirs to be special, so they produced “large heads” to include visitors in their images. Guests cheered on the new pair at the end of the evening as they left the wedding with poms representing their favorite teams ‘ colors.
Abby and Jeff feel their marriage objectives have been accomplished. This sports-loving pair is considering a home run for their marriage!
