Aimee Cho, a talented journalist, serves as a general assignment reporter for News4. Her passion for journalism was kindled during her upbringing in Great Falls, Virginia. From a young age, she aspired to become a journalist. Aimee attended Langley High School and later pursued her education at Cornell University.

During her time at Cornell, Aimee actively contributed to media outlets, including the Cornell Daily Sun and the student-run TV station at Ithaca College. Her dedication to journalism opened doors for her when she was accepted into the prestigious Emma Bowen Foundation Internship Program. Over the course of three summers, Aimee gained invaluable experience at NBC4, working across different departments and spending time in the newsroom.

Impressed by her talent and hard work, NBC4 decided to hire Aimee as a multimedia journalist following her participation in the program in 2016. Throughout her tenure at NBC4, she showcased her skills in shooting, writing, and editing stories, earning recognition and accolades. Aimee received two awards for her outstanding work as a multimedia journalist. One of the honors was an EMMY bestowed upon her by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. The second award came from the Chesapeake Associated Press Broadcasters. Additionally, she earned another EMMY for her heartwarming profile on a beloved Bethesda football coach who had Down syndrome.

Aimee is deeply committed to her profession and is actively involved in the Asian American Journalists Association. Currently residing in Chevy Chase, she continues to make a positive impact through her exceptional storytelling and dedication to delivering the news to the public.

Aimee was accepted into the prestigious Emma Bowen Foundation Internship Program and spent 3 summers at NBC4. She was working in various departments including the newsroom. She was hired by NBC4 by the end of her internship in 2007. She was hired as a multimedia journalist.
