Al Vaughters Biography and Career Life

Al Vaughters is a well-known journalist and news anchor in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He has been working at WANE-TV for over 20 years and is currently the weeknight anchor for the 6pm and 11pm newscasts.

Vaughters was born and raised in Fort Wayne and graduated from South Side High School. He went on to attend Ball State University, where he studied broadcast journalism. After graduating from Ball State, Vaughters worked as a reporter and anchor at several small television stations in Indiana.

In 1999, Vaughters joined the WANE-TV news team. He quickly rose through the ranks and became the weeknight anchor in 2002. Vaughters is known for his in-depth reporting and his ability to connect with viewers. He is also a respected member of the Fort Wayne community.

In addition to his work as a news anchor, Vaughters is also a passionate advocate for education. He is a member of the board of directors for the Fort Wayne Community Schools Foundation. He is also a mentor to aspiring journalists.
