Alaina Kwan currently serves as a morning reporter for Good Morning Arizona, bringing the latest news and stories to viewers. Her broadcasting journey began at KWWL in Waterloo, IA, where she initially worked as a weekday morning reporter. Covering a wide range of topics including crime, events, and weather, Alaina immersed herself in all aspects of reporting. One memorable assignment she covered was the historic MLB ‘Field of Dreams’ game.
After a year and a half of versatile reporting, Alaina was promoted to the position of weekday morning anchor, showcasing her growth and dedication. She spent a total of 3 years in the Hawkeye State, building a solid foundation for her career.
Alaina pursued her passion for journalism at the University of Kentucky, where she earned her broadcast journalism degree. During her time there, she also competed as a collegiate gymnast for the Women’s Gymnastics Program. Being part of the team’s groundbreaking year, which marked their first-ever appearance in the NCAA National Championships, was a significant achievement for her.
Balancing her commitments as a gymnast and a reporter for the school’s news network, Alaina developed a strong foundation to pursue her dream of becoming a reporter.
Originally from Southern California, Alaina feels fortunate to work for Arizona’s Family, as it allows her to be closer to her family while fulfilling her career aspirations.
During her leisure time, Alaina enjoys exploring new restaurants, shops, and engaging in various activities. She is also a proud owner of a French Bulldog named George, making her particularly fond of dog-friendly experiences.
