Alex Jokich is an American journalist from Chicago, currently working for KSTP as a reporter and fill in anchor since October 2018.
Alex Jokich Biography
Jokich grew up in the suburbs of Chicago. She went to Timothy Christian Highschool after which She attended Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA. Where she graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Sociology.
Alex had worked a number of jobs before starting at KSTP; In May 2008 she joined NBC Chicago as a health unit intern, she was there until August the same year. She later moved to KNBC in Los Angeles where she worked as special projects and investigations intern, she was there from August to December. She also worked for Pepperdine University in the office of admissions.
Alex later worked as a reporter for Garden Grove Channel 3, before moving to 9&10 News Heritage broadcasting as a reporter. She later joined WWMT-TV, she was a reporter there for four years and ten months. She later went back to 9&10 News as a morning news anchor until October 2018.
Alex has received various awards during her career as a journalist, including a Michigan Association of Broadcasters Award for “Best Investigative Story,” a Regional Emmy for ‘Best Documentary,’ and an Edward R. Murrow Award for ‘Excellence in Social Media.
Alex loves exploring new places, She also enjoys playing tennis and running. Alex has run two marathons in recent years. She also loves to be connected to her community, She has long been a volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters.
