Any time not working or watching sports, he spends keeping up with family and friends back home. Alex enjoys horror movies and hopes to write and direct one of his own one days. However, she recently experienced his first winter and is still happy to be living in Minnesota.

Prior to his time at KEYC, he interned at WBRC Fox 6 in Birmingham, Alabama, and served as play-by-play announcer for Montevallo Falcons athletics. Alex speaks Spanish and often travels across the globe to visit family in several different countries. His ancestor, Sebastian Lerdo de Tejada, was the President of Mexico in the 1870s.
