Alex Wallace is an American journalist from England, currently, he works for The Weather Channel as an on-camera meteorologist since May 2006.

Wallace was born in England but relocated to the United States at the age of five. He spent his childhood in Washington, D.C., but later moved to Atlanta during his high school years, where he has resided ever since.

Starting his academic journey at the University of Miami, he encountered financial challenges due to high tuition costs, leading him to transfer to the University of Georgia, where he pursued his studies in Broadcast Journalism.

In 2004, he furthered his education at Mississippi State University, obtaining a master’s degree in Geoscience with a specialization in Broadcast Meteorology. During his time in graduate school, he was privileged to intern at The Weather Channel, working alongside renowned meteorologists and acquiring invaluable knowledge in the field.

This experience eventually led to his first professional job at The Weather Channel, fulfilling his lifelong fascination with weather forecasting. Wallace once remarked, “What other career would allow me to talk about and predict the weather? It’s truly a dream come true.”

In recognition of his accomplishments, Wallace was honored with the John E. Drewry Award for Young Alumni Achievement by the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia in May 2012.

Apart from his meteorological pursuits, he is an avid sports enthusiast, particularly passionate about Georgia Football, faithfully supporting the Bulldogs every Saturday during the Fall season. Additionally, Wallace has a keen interest in music and a deep appreciation for the world of film.
