Rogers is an American journalist, who has been a meteorologist and reporter for WYMT-TV, the CBS station in Hazard, Kentucky. She joined WLWT-TV as a weekend meteorologist to replace Erik Zarnitz. Allison previously worked at WYMT, the CBS affiliate in Hazard, Ky., where she not only handled daily forecasting duties but served as a reporter. She replaces Erik Zarnitz, who left the station in September.
She was delighted to join the WLWT weather team, raised on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, always considered herself a “beach girl” and the coastal atmosphere led me to his passion, weather.
The first hurricane she remembers sitting through is Hurricane Georges. In 2005, Katrina hit her hometown of Long Beach, Mississippi. Shortly after, she packed her bags and made her way to the mountains of eastern Kentucky.
She was a meteorologist and reporter for the CBS affiliate, WYMT, for two and a half years. During her time in eastern Kentucky, she visited Cincinnati and quickly fell in love with the city.
