Amanda Cox Biography

Cox studied at the University of Missouri where she earned her Bachelors degree in Meteorology. After graduating, she jumped right into the news scene. During her tenure in broadcasting, she dealt with various types of weather ranging from severe Midwestern storms to Nor’ Easters, major snowstorms, widespread flooding, and tropical storms/hurricanes.

She has served at the CBS station in Lincoln, NE, and the ABC station in Kansas City, MO learning the ropes. When she has some free time, she usually tries to find a fun adventurous activity like sky diving, white water rafting, skiing, or four-wheeling. To wind down and relax, she loves to do yoga, enjoy a glass of wine at one of her favorite wineries, or watch movies.
