Amy Hudak is an American journalist, working for an award-winning station WPXI since July 2019, and a native of Pittsburg where the station is also located.
Originally from New England, Hudak comes to WPXI from Hartford, Conn., where she previously reported evening news in her hometown for WTNH. She had however worked for WHAM in Rochester, New York before joining WTNH.
Amy had been a lead reporter for the high-profile Craig Rideout murder trial which was featured on Dateline while in New York.
She had gone to Penn State… We Are!… and was a pre-medicine major. She previously had plans of doing medicine before she got the news bug during an internship with Today Show health contributor, Joy Bauer. She now loves her career and does not like turning back.
Amy has an interest when it comes to yoga, running, and taking a good cup of coffee. She also loves spending time with her rescue cat and dog, Murphy and Mac respectively. Amy is delighted to explore the Pittsburgh restaurant scene and enjoy Pirates, Penguins, and Steelers games!
