Angie Beavin Biography
Angie Beavin anchors at LEX 18 News at 4 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. She was born and raised in Lexington, and is excited to be working in her hometown. She has worked at the NBC affiliate KXAN in Austin, Texas and WKYT Lexington. Her career in TV started in Kentucky at WYMT.
Angie graduated from the University of Kentucky after majoring in broadcast journalism and minored in political science. She’s a graduate of Catholic High School and Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary School, Lexington .
Angie got married in Texas, and then moved back to Lexington with her husband and family. Most of her free time, she spends with her family. She also enjoys spending time outside, sports, trying new restaurants, and resting.
Outside of her work with LEX 18, Angie is a board member with the Children’s Advocacy Center of the Bluegrass and I Care KY. She is grateful to get to tell the stories of Kentuckians every day.
