Ashley Miller is an American journalist from Capital Region, currently working as a sports photojournalist for NewsChannel 13Albany, NY. She joined WNYT in July 2013.

Miller is an American journalist working as a sports photojournalist for NewsChannel 13. She joined WNYT in July. She is grateful and excited for the opportunity to cover sports in her hometown. Ashley is a proud graduate of Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications where she majored in broadcast journalism and geography. She loves all things orange!
Before joining the NewsChannel 13 team, Ashley spent five years as a sports producer at YNN here in Albany covering Saratoga, Giants training camp, and all of the local college and high school teams. When she was a sophomore in college Ashley interned for NBC at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino, Italy. She worked at the cross country venue in the mountains. They spent about three weeks there.
In addition to being a broadcast journalism major, Ashley also majored in geography and minored in Spanish. I’ve forgotten a lot of Spanish. I’ll never use my geography degree, but I thoroughly enjoyed those classes.
