Baillie Burmaster Is an American News anchor From the sports-rich state of Texas. Burmaster joined the WBAY Sports Department in April 2019. She came from KAMC in Lubbock, Texas, the ABC affiliate.

Baillie Burmaster is a talented and accomplished individual who graduated with a double degree in Sports Media and Marketing from Oklahoma State University. During her time at the university, she actively contributed to the sports coverage as a Sports Anchor/Reporter for OStateTV and was also involved in the production of all OSU Athletic events through Orange Power Studios. Originally from Austin, Texas, Baillie is thrilled to continue her career in the Lone Star State.
In addition to her academic pursuits, Baillie’s passion for sports extended to the field as she played for the Oklahoma State Women’s soccer team. Her dedication and skills on the field resulted in winning the 2011 Big 12 Championship and earning All-Academic Big 12 honors for three years. This background in sports not only fostered her athletic abilities but also provided valuable insights into both the on-air and production aspects of the industry.
Baillie’s professional journey began in Lubbock, where she covered Texas Tech for KAMC’s Red Raider Nation. Through this role, she had the privilege of experiencing remarkable sports events, such as attending a draft day with Patrick Mahomes in Tyler, Texas, and covering Texas Tech men’s basketball team’s journey to the Elite Eight in Boston. She also reported on the Texas Tech Men’s baseball team during their run at the College World Series in Omaha.
Beyond her work at KAMC, Baillie has displayed her expertise as a color commentator for women’s college soccer on Fox Sports Southwest and a sideline reporter for United Rugby League. Her extensive knowledge of sports and her athletic background have enabled her to establish strong relationships with coaches and athletes alike.
