His love for local news has led him to cover a wide range of topics, from state politics to disaster recovery and local spotlights.
Prior to his time in Oklahoma, Barry worked as a reporter and anchor at KMIZ in Columbia, Missouri, where he reported on politics, crime, breaking news, and more. He also gained experience at WCAV in Charlottesville and pursued his studies in Media Studies at the University of Virginia.
Originally from Maryland, Barry quickly developed a fondness for the Midwest and is dedicated to sharing the stories that resonate with Oklahomans.
When not at work, Barry can often be found at a pool, as swimming has been a significant part of his life. Having completed a successful 15-year career as a competitive swimmer, he remains passionate about the sport, which was also evident during his time as a member of the varsity team at UVA.
