Briseida Holguin Biography and Career Life

In April 2020, Briseida Holguin became a valued member of the WMC Action News 5 team, taking on the role of a multimedia journalist. New to the Mid-South region, she is excited to embark on an exploration of the many wonders this area has to offer.

Originally hailing from the Pacific Northwest, Briseida previously worked as a bilingual multimedia journalist and fill-in anchor for NBC Right Now and Telemundo Yakima Tri-Cities in Yakima, Washington. During her time there, she covered a diverse range of topics, including education, local politics, agriculture, severe weather, and more.

Prior to her time in Washington state, Briseida gained valuable experience as a traffic producer and news assistant for ABC7 in Los Angeles, California.

Briseida’s roots trace back to Los Angeles, CA, where she graduated from California State University Northridge with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Spanish Language Journalism.

In her leisure time, Briseida enjoys being outdoors, traveling (especially to beach destinations), and exploring new restaurants and bars. She welcomes suggestions and is approachable on social media.
