Brityne is a dedicated journalist with strong roots in agriculture, hailing from central Kansas. Her passion for both journalism and agriculture led her to pursue a degree in Agricultural Communications and Journalism, along with a minor in Animal Sciences and Industry at Kansas State University.

Originally from Hesston, Kansas, Brityne’s upbringing revolved around the agricultural way of life. She actively participated in 4-H and FFA, immersing herself in the agricultural community. Her summers were filled with preparing animals for fairs, working long hours on the tractor, and even learning the intricacies of artificial insemination in cows. These experiences fueled her passion for agriculture and eventually led her to discover her love for ag journalism during her time at K-State.

Throughout her college years, Brityne made the most of her opportunities, holding various internships that furthered her knowledge and skills in agricultural journalism. She contributed to K-State’s agricultural radio program “Agriculture Today” and served as an anchor for the statewide agricultural television program “Ag A.M. in Kansas.”

After graduating in the spring of 2020, Brityne enthusiastically joined the KWCH News team. Returning home to central Kansas, she feels honored to cover news across the state and bring the latest updates to viewers. Her expertise and passion for agriculture also led her to report on agriculture news from around the state, connecting with the agricultural community she knows so well.

Beyond her work in the newsroom, Brityne remains deeply connected to her agricultural roots and family farm. When she’s not reporting, you can find her helping out on the farm, spending quality time with family and friends, and frequently visiting her alma mater, Kansas State University, where she proudly supports her college team with enthusiasm – GO CATS!
