Bryan Samudio, News 4’s esteemed Sports Director, is a prominent figure in the Reno market, with over 22 years of experience in broadcasting. His remarkable contributions to the sports industry earned him a well-deserved spot in the 2017 Nevada Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame class.

Throughout his career, Bryan has covered a vast array of sporting events, from local high school games to the University of Nevada’s thrilling appearances at the NCAA Tournament and bowl games. His expertise also extends to professional football with coverage of the 49ers and Raiders, major baseball events like the World Series, and even the historic world land speed record-breaking moment on the Black Rock Desert.

Bryan’s talent and dedication have been recognized with prestigious accolades. He was part of the Emmy-nominated and Telly Award-winning “Keep Chopping: Wolf Pack Training Camp” project in 2016.

In addition to his nightly sports anchoring duties, Bryan hosts the captivating show “Wolf Pack All Access,” a magazine-style program that shines a spotlight on the University of Nevada and its talented student-athletes.

Bryan’s involvement with the News 4 sports team also extends to producing and presenting “Countdown to Kickoff,” a pair of hour-long high school football preview shows aired on KRNV’s sister station My21TV in the fall. On Friday nights, he engages viewers with either “Friday Night Lights” or “Hometown Hoops,” focusing on highlights from the week’s prep games.

Furthermore, Bryan takes part in hosting the “American Century Celebrity Golf ’19th Hole,” a wrap-up show shot overlooking the 17th hole at Edgewood Golf Course in Lake Tahoe, marking the conclusion of the celebrity golf tournament.

A proud graduate of the University of Nevada’s Reynolds School of Journalism, Bryan joined News 4 in 2005, following his successful tenure as Sports Director at KTNV in Las Vegas. Before venturing south, he had spent a decade as a sports anchor at another prominent television station in Reno.

His passion for sports and his dedication to delivering top-notch coverage have solidified his position as a trusted and respected figure in the sports journalism realm.
