Cait Przetak became a part of the News 2 team in November of 2019, following her role as a News Producer and Correspondent at WFXB FOX TV in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Originally a ‘Jersey Girl,’ Cait arrived in the Palmetto State in 2014, embracing the southern lifestyle while attending classes at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina.
During her time there, she immersed herself in various forms of journalism, including Print, Magazine, Web, Radio, and Television. As a junior in college, Cait had the opportunity to intern with WWMB as an Armstrong Williams Intern and at WMBF News in Myrtle Beach as a News Intern.
In her senior year, she worked as a NJ/NY Press Member and MMJ in Market 1 for WMBC-TV.
After completing her studies, Cait decided to make South Carolina her permanent home, feeling a deep connection to the state. She is thrilled and humbled to embark on her journey as a Charlestonian, eager to share the stories of the people in the Tri-County area.
When she’s not reporting, you can find Cait playing with her adopted Shepard-mix, Johnny Cash, and teaching him new tricks. She also enjoys baking treats for her family and friends.
