Cameron Polom, a renowned multimedia journalist, rejoined ABC15 in July 2017, marking a significant homecoming for the Arizona native. With an impressive track record spanning the past four years, Cameron previously showcased his journalistic talents at ABC Action News in Tampa, Florida. During his time there, he garnered widespread recognition, receiving the prestigious title of the Associated Press Multimedia Journalist of the Year in both 2015 and 2016. Additionally, he earned several other accolades for his exceptional work in covering breaking news and conducting local investigations.
Before his stint in Tampa, Cameron Polom contributed his reporting skills to NBC affiliate KSBY News in San Luis Obispo, California. It was during this period that he was honored with an Emmy Award for his outstanding coverage of breaking news during the Calf Wildfire.
Education-wise, Cameron is an alumnus of Arizona State’s prestigious Walter Cronkite School of Journalism. Alongside his journalism studies, he also pursued finance at ASU. Notably, before venturing into the field of journalism, Cameron dedicated six years of his career as a financial advisor for JP Morgan Chase, operating from Scottsdale, Tempe, and Phoenix.
