Camila Flamiano Domonoske is a distinguished member of NPR’s Business Desk, where she specializes in covering cars, energy, and the future of mobility.

Her journey with NPR began at the Arts Desk, where she honed her skills by editing poetry reviews and producing compelling stories on books and culture. Camila’s creative flair shone through as she contributed to four different series of book recommendation essays and played a pivotal role in conceptualizing and creating NPR’s pioneering Book Concierge.

Venturing into NPR’s Digital News team, Camila continued to excel as she took on multiple roles. Additionally, she skillfully managed NPR’s online presence, curating the home page and running the organization’s social media accounts. Her writing prowess extended to diverse topics on the web, including police violence, deportations and immigration court proceedings, history, archaeology, global family planning funding, walrus haul-outs, the theology of hell, international approaches to climate change, the shifting symbolism of Pepe the Frog, the mechanics of pooping in space, and even cats, among numerous other subjects.

Camila’s engaging presence extended to hosting NPR’s daily update on Facebook Live, titled “Newstime,” and her creative collaboration with Colin Dwyer led to the inception of NPR’s live headline contest, aptly named “Head to Head.”
