Connan is an American journalist and has been the international correspondent for Bloomberg Television based in Paris since 2012, covering French business news from companies to politics.

Connan covered the French presidential elections in depth in 2017, and has interviewed numerous economic leaders and political figures for Bloomberg Television, in France and in Europe. Her interviews with French newsmakers include current French President Emmanuel Macron (then Economy Minister), French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire, billionaire Xavier Niel, LVMH CEO Bernard Arnault, Total CEO Patrick Pouyanne, Renault CEO Carlos Ghosn and L’Oreal CEO Jean-Paul Agon.

Caroline has also covered international events including the OPEC meetings in Austria, Algeria or Qatar; the World Economic Forum in Davos; the EU Summits in Brussels; and the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum in Russia. Other high-profile interviews include IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde and the German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble. Prior to joining Bloomberg Television in London in 2007, she worked at Canal Plus, CNN International, AFP and several French publications.

Connan graduated from Sciences Po in Paris with a master’s degree in broadcast journalism and a bachelor’s degree in political science. She also studied at the City College of San Francisco and the University of Melbourne, and holds a degree in scriptwriting at the prestigious Femis film school in Paris.
