One of Christina’s notable contributions has been her comprehensive coverage of the coronavirus pandemic’s impact on Asian Americans. She diligently reported on various aspects, ranging from the initial outbreak in Wuhan, China, to the rise of COVID-related hate crimes locally.
In 2020, following the tragic murder of George Floyd, she dedicated weeks to covering the subsequent protests, where demonstrators passionately advocated for police and criminal justice reform in New York City.
Prior to joining WCBS, Christina amassed three years of experience at the ABC O&O in Fresno, California. During her time there, she embarked on travels across the state to report on significant events such as record-breaking wildfires and the Oroville dam crisis.
Notably, she also covered President Barack Obama’s visit to Yosemite. Christina’s career initially took off at WOWK-TV in Charleston, West Virginia, where she skillfully handled all aspects of her stories, including shooting, writing, and editing.
Christina graduated from Northwestern University’s esteemed Medill School of Journalism, accomplishing dual majors in Broadcast Journalism and International Studies. Fluent in Mandarin Chinese, she possesses a deep passion for travel and has already explored 24 countries spanning five continents.
As a proud native of Central Jersey, Christina cherishes her roots, with her parents still residing there. She experiences immense joy in visiting her family every week, relishing her mother’s delicious home-cooked meals. To balance the indulgence, she enthusiastically engages in tennis, attempting to burn off the calories. Christina proudly identifies as a dedicated fan of Novak Djokovic, the tennis superstar.
