In September 2007, Dagen McDowell joined the FOX Business Network (FBN) as an anchor, marking the beginning of her impactful presence on the network. Currently, she appears daily on the popular show “Mornings with Maria,” which airs on weekdays from 6-9 am/ET.

Prior to her tenure at FBN, McDowell served as a business correspondent for the Fox News Channel (FNC) starting in 2003. During this time, she made regular guest appearances on the show “Your World with Neil Cavuto.” McDowell’s expertise and insights also led her to frequent appearances on other FNC programs, including “Outnumbered” (weekdays 12-1 pm/ET) and “CAVUTO Live” (Saturdays 10 am-12 pm/ET).

Before venturing into broadcast news, McDowell showcased her knowledge and writing skills as she penned a personal finance column titled “Dear Dagen” for TheStreet.com. Her valuable contributions to the field of personal finance continued as she worked for SmartMoney magazine and SmartMoney.com.

Kicking off her career as a financial journalist, McDowell gained experience in the Institutional Investor’s newsletter division. Hailing from Virginia, she completed her education at Wake Forest University.
