Dana Jacobson is an American journalist from Detroit, Michigan currently working as a a host and correspondent for CBS News.

In March 2005, Dana Jacobson was named co-host of Cold Pizza, which later became ESPN First Take. She continued with the show until announcing on December 26, 2011, that her last day on “First Take” would be December 30, 2011. Shortly after, she returned to anchoring SportsCenter.

On March 27, 2012, it was reported by USA Today that Jacobson would be leaving ESPN when her contract expired at the end of April.

Her final day at ESPN was on April 30, 2012, when she anchored the 6-8 p.m. ET SportsCenter show. Later, on July 13, 2018, Jacobson and long-time CBS correspondent Michelle Miller were named the new co-hosts of the Saturday edition of CBS This Morning.

Jacobson’s television career began in Traverse City, Michigan, where she worked as a substitute news anchor, producer, and editor. She also served as the sports anchor on weekends and reported on various stories in Northern California, including profiles of former Sacramento Kings players Mike Bibby, Chris Webber, and Jason Williams.

Throughout her career, Jacobson has covered a wide range of professional sports, including the NFL and NBA. She worked as a weekend sports anchor at KXTV-TV, ABC’s Sacramento affiliate station from 1998 to 2002.

During this time, she hosted KXTV’s News10 Red Zone and served as a sports reporter for the station’s Monday Night Football show (1996–98). She also hosted The NBA Insiders, a weekly two-hour radio show for KHTK-AM from 2000 to 2002.

In addition to her work at ESPN, Jacobson replaced Dan Patrick on his radio show broadcast on ESPN Radio during the 2005 holiday season. She also occasionally filled in for Mike Golic on the ESPN Radio show Mike and Mike in the Morning.

Currently, Jacobson is associated with CBS Sports and CBS Sports Network. She is a regular contributor on the NFL Today and serves as a host on CBS’s We Need To Talk. In October 2018, she was honored by the Michigan Jewish Sports Foundation as one of their Hall of Fame inductees.
