Woods is originally from New Jersey, she attained her bachelor’s degree from Saint Peter’s University, then moved to the Empire State where she attained her master’s degree from Syracuse University.
Danielle began working for the WGAL team in March 2015 after working in Erie, Pennsylvania. There she was a general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor, covering record snowfalls and the cold. She also covered stories that became close to her heart. The best one is the story of a teenager who passed away after having an epileptic seizure. Her folks made the best of their tragedy by starting an international pay it forward campaign, asking people to do something kind, no matter how huge or small, all in their daughter’s honor.
Woods knew she wanted to be a reporter from an early age. Each morning she would watch the news with her mom before school, it was an important part of starting the day on the right foot.
Danielle is happily living out her dreams and hopes to inspire young girls. She loves this simple quote; “She believed she could, so she did.”
