Darran Todd is an American Journalist currently serving as a reporter at KTAL News. He joined KTAL News team in October of 2020. 

Darran Todd Biography and Career

Todd, an American Journalist, currently holds the position of a reporter at KTAL News, where he became a valuable addition to the team in October of 2020. Before joining the Shreveport-based station, he contributed his talents to WALB News 10 in Albany, Georgia.

During his time in Albany, Darran’s versatile reporting covered a wide range of topics, from community service projects to murder trials, breaking news, severe weather events, and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the city and region. Shortly after arriving at WALB, he took on the responsibility of crime and courts coverage, showcasing his dedication to getting answers for the community.

Originally from Jackson, Mississippi, Darran relocated to Atlanta in the Fall of 2016 to pursue higher education at Clark Atlanta University. Following the successful completion of his Bachelor’s Degree, he gained valuable experience interning at WGCL CBS 46 in Atlanta.

A proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and the National Association of Black Journalists, Todd brings not only a passion for news but also a deep-rooted connection to his family’s involvement in law enforcement.
