During his NHL playing career, Pang showcased his goaltending skills as a member of the Chicago Blackhawks from the 1984-85 season to the 1988-89 season. Throughout his tenure, he played in 81 games, earning recognition and accolades such as being named Rookie of the Month in January 1988, a spot on the NHL All-Rookie Team, and a Calder Memorial Trophy finalist, despite going undrafted.
In addition to his role at NHL Network, Pang serves as an analyst for FOX Sports Midwest and contributes to NHL on NBC’s Inside the Glass. He joined FOX Sports Midwest after working as an analyst for the Phoenix Coyotes’ TV coverage for four seasons, and prior to that, spending 12 years at ESPN covering hockey.
Pang’s expertise extends beyond studio analysis, as he has also reported on three Winter Olympic Games, serving as a reporter for CBS in Nagano (1998), NBC in Salt Lake City (2002), and as an analyst for NBC in Vancouver (2010).
