He joined NBC 5 News team back in 2013. Here, he specializes in breaking news and investigative stories. Don has over 35 years worth of experience and he is a well-respected and highly decorated North Texas law enforcement official.

He used to work as a Dallas County Sheriff’s Administrative Senior Sergeant. In 2017, He was awarded a national Edward R. Murrow Award because of his work. He covered the 2016 Dallas Police Officer Ambush. He is also a 4 time Lone Star Emmy Award winner.
