Eric Bradner is a national political reporter for CNN, specializing in coverage of the 2018 midterm elections and the 2020 Democratic presidential contest.
Bradner joined CNN in 2014 as a reporter on the digital politics team’s breaking news desk. Before his tenure at CNN, he worked at Politico, focusing on international trade for a year. Prior to that, Bradner served as the Indiana Statehouse bureau chief for the Evansville Courier & Press for over four years. In this role, he provided in-depth coverage of Indiana governors Mitch Daniels and Mike Pence, as well as state-level political campaigns.
Originally from Greenville, Indiana, Bradner currently resides in Washington, D.C. He is an avid supporter of the University of Louisville basketball team and a dedicated fan of the Chicago Cubs baseball team. In addition, he closely follows the NBA and NFL drafts and free agency, and has a deep appreciation for the music of the Dave Matthews Band.
