Previously, Charner worked as a producer for CNN in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where she contributed to the network’s coverage of the 2016 Summer Olympics, the Zika outbreak, and the impeachment process of President Dilma Rousseff.

Prior to joining CNN, Charner held various writer and producer roles at esteemed organizations including Al Jazeera English, America’s Quarterly, and Associated Press Television in Brazil and Washington DC.

Charner’s academic background includes graduating cum laude from Emerson College, where she obtained a BS in Broadcast Journalism. She further pursued her education at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, earning an MA in Politics.
