Frederik Oldenburg is one of the hosts of “Un Nuevo Día” in charge of the sports segment since he joined the award-winning morning show in January 2019, in addition to the newly launched interactive multi-platform studio, “La Vuelta.”
However, it was in 2018 when he captivated viewers nationwide as a commentator during the FIFA World Cup in Russia on “Un Nuevo Día,” “Al Rojo Vivo,” “Noticias Telemundo,” and “Titulares y Más.”
Before officially joining Telemundo network, Frederik served as a sports anchor for Telemundo 51’s local news in Miami while also working as a commentator and analyst for Telemundo Network during the 2016 Rio Olympics and both the women’s and men’s FIFA World Cups.
Since 2015, he has covered major events for the network, including the Super Bowl, Copa América, Confederations Cup, English Premier League, and The Open Championship, among others.
His journey as a sports journalist began in 2007 in his native Venezuela and in the United States in 2014 when he became the sports anchor for Telemundo Las Vegas. Frederik is a passionate sports enthusiast and a soccer player who earned a degree in social communication from university. In Venezuela, he practiced his career for eight years before moving to the United States.
