She interned with The Weather Channel while in school at Pennsylvania State University and joined as a full-time forecaster not long after she graduated. Jen participated in The Weather Channel on-camera meteorologist apprentice program, earning time in front of the camera every weekend.
On November 12, 2013, Carfagno, alongside Alex Wallace, introduced all-new “Weather All the Time” graphics for The Weather Channel at 4:00am on Weather Center Live (they stayed on the air until 5:30am). From 2013 to 2016, this team anchored Weather Center Live on Thursday-Friday early mornings and weekend mornings.
