Joelle Garguilo pursued her education, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration at UAlbany. Initially an accounting major, she later switched to concentrate on marketing and finance during her junior year.

Upon graduation, she completed her accounting degree at Hofstra University. Garguilo then began her career at a small firm before landing a position at KPMG, one of the renowned Big Four accounting firms. At KPMG, she audited major Fortune 500 companies, including Mercedes-Benz and Omnicom.

After spending two years at KPMG, Garguilo decided not to pursue a partnership and explored other opportunities. In no time, she received seven job offers after interviewing at seven firms. Opting for New Line Cinema, she joined their finance department, which was led by women.

Though successful in the business world, Garguilo had a hidden aspiration to become a journalist. When New Line Cinema closed, she saw it as a chance to chase her dream. Garguilo enrolled in a journalism class at NYU and also pursued studies at the New York Film Academy.

Her hard work and dedication paid off, as she now serves as a correspondent and Orange Room producer on Weekend Today. Additionally, she works as a correspondent for WNBC‘s lifestyle program, New York Live.

Garguilo’s role covers a wide array of topics, from entertainment and health to fashion, beauty, and even Wall Street updates. She expertly crafts her packages, taking charge of writing, producing, editing, shooting, and anchoring her segments.
