Julia Lopez, a second-generation sportscaster and recipient of an Emmy award, is thrilled to join the Arizona’s Family sports team as an anchor and reporter. Growing up, Julia developed a deep passion for sports while observing her father, a local sports anchor/reporter, in action. Attending numerous sporting events with him further ignited her love for the world of sports. With over a decade of experience as a sports anchor/reporter, Julia has traversed various parts of the country, including Denver and Fresno.

Having played soccer for an impressive 16 years, Julia’s skills contributed to her high school team’s success in securing a couple of state championships. In her younger days, she was an avid softball player and reveled in the role of an outfielder, specifically as a center fielder. Although she proudly represents her alma mater, Colorado State, Julia is delighted to return to the captivating desert landscape. Born in Albuquerque, NM, she eagerly awaits recommendations for the best green chile in the area.
