Throughout her career, Katherine has covered numerous significant breaking news stories in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. Her reporting has included the tragic duck boat crash on the Delaware River in 2010, the devastating building collapse in Center City Philadelphia in 2013, the aftermath of the Amtrak train derailment in Port Richmond in 2015, and the deadly riot at Delaware’s maximum security prison in 2017, which resulted in the loss of a corrections officer’s life.
She had the privilege of being present on Ben Franklin Parkway during Pope Francis’ Mass at the Art Museum and covered the Democratic National Convention in 2016.
Katherine has closely followed several high-profile court cases, attending trials involving notable figures such as Bill Cosby, former Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane, disgraced Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams, and former Pennsylvania Congressman Chaka Fattah.
When it comes to wild weather, Katherine is on the scene, reporting on nor’easters, blizzards, and memorable events like Superstorm Sandy in 2012.
In addition to her passion for covering breaking news, Katherine enjoys highlighting positive stories about the remarkable things happening in local schools and community centers.
Prior to joining the Philadelphia news scene, Katherine served as an anchor and reporter for News 12 The Bronx and Brooklyn, gained experience at the Athens Olympics, and worked as an NBC Page.
Originally from New Jersey, Katherine is a proud alumna of Harvard University, where she earned a B.A. in Anthropology. During her time at Harvard, she also excelled as the captain of the Varsity Field Hockey team.
Katherine and her husband take great pride in being parents to their three beautiful children.
