Katherine Wiley is a versatile producer working across multiple platforms at 11Alive in Atlanta, Georgia. Originally from Ohio and raised in Kentucky, she became a valued member of the 11Alive team in January 2020.
In 2016, Katherine graduated from the esteemed E.W. Scripps College of Communications at Ohio University. Prior to joining 11Alive, she honed her skills as a producer at The Weather Channel and played a crucial role in producing the 11 p.m. evening news at WSAZ in Huntington-Charleston, West Virginia.
Throughout her career, spanning the initial five years, Katherine has actively covered a diverse range of impactful stories. She has delved into the pressing issue of the opioid epidemic in rural Appalachia and contributed to reporting on the challenging landscape shaped by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Additionally, Katherine has showcased her talent by producing comprehensive coverage of several major hurricanes, most notably the historic Hurricane Michael in 2018. This devastating storm marked the first Category 5 landfall since 1992, causing widespread damage in Florida and Georgia.
