Kathryn Robinson became a valuable member of the Local 12 team in February 2019, bringing her passion for storytelling and her enthusiasm for connecting with new individuals.
Originally from Kentucky, Kathryn made her way to Cincinnati from WSAZ in Huntington-Charleston, West Virginia, where she served as a multimedia journalist, anchor, and producer, taking on various roles within the newsroom.
In her early days on the job in 2016, Kathryn covered the devastating West Virginia flooding. She has extensively reported on the region’s opioid crisis, covered numerous presidential visits, and provided live coverage from North Carolina during Hurricane Florence. While Kathryn is well-versed in breaking news, she also takes great joy in sharing uplifting stories with her audience.
Kathryn’s dedication and talent were recognized by the West Virginia Broadcasters Association, which named her the Best Reporter during her tenure at WSAZ.
A proud alumna of Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, Kathryn cherishes her time there as a Syracuse Orange.
With a spirit of adventure, Kathryn loves exploring new destinations. She developed a passion for travel after living abroad in Spain. Additionally, she considers herself a foodie and eagerly looks forward to discovering the finest culinary establishments in Cincinnati.
