Katrina Smith is the co-anchor of NEWSChannel2 at Sunrise, delivering the morning news with enthusiasm and energy every weekday from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. on NBC and CBS-Utica, and from 7 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. on the CW.

When she’s not on the anchor desk, Katrina cherishes quality time with her four children, often engaging in outdoor activities like boating, snowboarding on the ski slopes, or hiking.

Katrina’s educational journey took her through SUNY at Albany, Mohawk Valley Community College, and Utica College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a concentration in International Studies.

Before returning to her hometown, Katrina honed her skills at WSTM in Syracuse. Her career at WKTV started as a producer and eventually led her to the role of morning anchor, a position she takes great pride in.
