Kayla her passion to the next level, she pursued a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a minor in American history at Robert Morris University, graduating in May 2015.

My journey as a reporter led me to Gillette, Wyoming, whereshestarted my career just weeks after graduation. From there,sheventured to Rapid City, South Dakota, before anchoring a morning show in the warmer climate of Lake Charles, Louisiana.

However, the call of home brought me back, andshecouldn’t resist the opportunity to join the WHIO team, working closer to my roots.

When I’m not immersed in reporting, you can find me with my beloved fur babies, Louie and Gabana Grace, or visiting family in my hometown. Exploring the picturesque parks in Dayton is also one of my favorite pastimes.
