Keith Jones is a highly acclaimed anchor for NBC10 News, having won six Emmy Awards for his exceptional work. He can be seen on weekday mornings as the anchor for NBC10 News Today from 4 a.m. to 7 a.m. Additionally, Keith co-hosts The Lineup, a digital newscast streamed on the NBC10 apps on Roku and Apple TV.
Hailing from New Egypt in Ocean County, New Jersey, and a graduate of Villanova University, Keith has a passion for writing and telling stories that have a meaningful impact on the communities he grew up in.
Beyond his anchoring duties, Keith has also field anchored various sporting events for prominent teams like the Eagles, Phillies, 76ers, and Flyers. He has covered a wide range of sports, including college sports, Super Bowls, and the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games.
Among his most cherished stories are his experiences crossing the border into North Korea during the Winter Games and covering the national title runs of the Villanova Men’s Basketball team in 2016 and 2018. As a Villanova alumnus who studied Communication and Philosophy, Keith even has a unique connection to the basketball program, having been a former student-manager under head coach Jay Wright and occasionally practicing with the team.
Before joining NBC10 in July 2012, Keith served as an anchor/reporter at WHSV, the ABC affiliate in Harrisburg, VA, and later worked as a reporter/fill-in anchor at WTAE, the ABC affiliate in Pittsburgh.
In addition to his broadcast career, Keith has been an adjunct professor of Broadcast Journalism at Villanova University since 2013. His contributions to the university were recognized when he received the Villanova Young Alumni Medal in 2018, an annual award given to one alumnus who has made remarkable contributions to various areas of society, including professional achievements, academic excellence, and service to the college.
Keith’s outstanding character, service, and excellence in the field of Communication were acknowledged in 2014 when he received the school’s annual Ethos Award. He was also honored with the university’s Young Alumni Medallion, which is presented to an alumnus who has graduated within the past ten years, excelled in their professional pursuits, and demonstrated a commitment to serving the community and the university.
Highly engaged in the community, Keith actively serves on the Board of Directors for nonprofit organizations Main Line Deputy Dog, the Philadelphia Fireman’s Museum, and Turning Points for Children. Additionally, he volunteers with the American Red Cross of Eastern Pennsylvania and Villanova’s Office of Disability Services. His dedication to his work and the community truly makes him a role model to many.
