Kevin joined WTHI in December of 1982 and currently serves as the weeknight meteorologist for News 10 First @ Five, News 10 at 6 p.m., myFOX10, and News 10 Nightwatch.

His journey began in the promotion department, but he quickly transitioned to the News 10 Midday as host and meteorologist, and later took on full-time evening weather responsibilities by 1985.

Throughout his time at WTHI, Kevin has been recognized with various prestigious awards, including the Hamilton Award and the Abe Malooly Award for his work with United Cerebral Palsy of the Wabash Valley.

He is also a Distinguished Alumni of Vincennes University and holds the esteemed Seal of Approval of the American Meteorology Society. His exceptional weather presentations have earned him nominations for the Ohio Valley Emmys and a best weathercast win by the Indiana Broadcasters’ Association.

Before joining WTHI, Kevin’s broadcasting journey began as a disc jockey for multiple radio stations. At the age of 15, he secured his first broadcasting job at WARU radio in Peru, Indiana, and has been passionately involved in broadcasting ever since.

As a dedicated meteorologist for WTHI, Kevin has covered numerous significant weather events, including the drought of 1988, the Great Flood of 2008, and the snow and cold of January 2014, among others such as tornadoes, severe thunderstorms, and extreme cold spells.

A native of Peru, Indiana, Kevin’s talents extend beyond meteorology. He played the trumpet in the Circus Band for an impressive 7 years. He pursued his education at Vincennes University and Indiana State University.

Outside of his career, he finds joy in his hobbies, particularly model HO trains, and possesses an extensive library with a focus on topics such as ancient history, religion, and magic. Kevin is a proud father to his daughter, Christine, who currently resides in California.
