Kevin Sjuts is a highly acclaimed sportscaster with an impressive tenure of more than a decade at 10/11 News. Joining the 10/11 NOW sports team in July 2005 as the Weekend Sports Anchor, he quickly rose to the esteemed position of Sports Director.
Kevin’s journey in broadcast journalism began with his graduation from the University of Illinois, where he earned a degree in the field.
Throughout his time at 10/11, Kevin’s exceptional talent and dedication to his craft have garnered him numerous prestigious awards. Among his accolades are being named NSSA Nebraska Sportscaster of the Year in both 2013 and 2017.
His outstanding work has also been recognized by the Associated Press and Nebraska Broadcasters Association, where he received the Gold Award for Best Sportscast in the state not once, but three times.
Additionally, Kevin’s skills in sports reporting, live play-by-play, and producing have earned him multiple first-place honors for various 30-minute sports programs at 10/11. Notably, he played a vital role in the creation of the state’s exclusive 30-minute high school sports show, PrepZone Weekly, in 2010.
Outside the realm of work, Kevin’s passion for sports extends to attending events at all levels, from professional to college and high school games. His family holds a special place in his heart, and he cherishes quality time with them during his leisure.
Kevin’s wife, Michelle Lynch, is a former Nebraska volleyball player, and together, they share the joy of raising three children: Bella, Paxon, and Kale, alongside their beloved dog named Jangles.
