KJ is a seasoned meteorologist with a strong educational background, holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology from Mississippi State University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of South Carolina.
Hailing from South Carolina, KJ possesses a deep understanding of the weather patterns along the east coast. Prior to joining News 3, he has showcased his meteorological expertise at WPDE in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, WAFF in Huntsville, Alabama, and WOAY in Oak Hill, West Virginia. His experience includes handling a wide range of weather conditions, from tropical storms to severe weather and winter conditions.
Being a part of the First Warning Storm Team, KJ is thrilled to share his enthusiasm for weather and deliver accurate forecasts to viewers. But there’s more to look forward to than just weather updates – KJ’s clever puns and witty humor add a delightful touch to his presentations.
