Cranny’s extensive background includes more than 20 years of experience in business, finance, and media. Prior to joining Bloomberg in 2010, he served as a markets reporter for CNBC Europe, honing his expertise in delivering timely and insightful financial news.
Throughout his career, Cranny has been at the forefront of breaking major market stories, including the noteworthy mergers between Publicis/Omnicom and Holcim/Lafarge, with a combined worth of $35 billion and €42 billion, respectively. Moreover, he has conducted interviews with prominent figures in the global business and finance landscape, such as former Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis, EU President Martin Schulz, UBS Group CEO Sergio Ermotti, RBS CEO Ross McEwan, and Barclays CEO Jes Staley.
