In late 2011, Nabil made a transition from CBC to TSN, where he had previously hosted Hockey Night in Canada Online and worked as a sports anchor for CBC News. At TSN, he became a prominent figure, serving as an anchor and reporter for SportsCentre. He also worked as a reporter for NHL on TSN and occasionally hosted NBA on TSN.
During his time at TSN, Nabil covered several significant sporting events, such as the 2013 World Juniors in Ufa, Russia, the 2012 UEFA European Football Championship, the 2011 Stanley Cup Final, and the 2011 Rogers Cup Men’s Tennis Final. Additionally, he anchored AHL coverage and hosted the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa Post-Game Show and the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
Before moving to TSN, Nabil gained experience working with CKPG-TV, Global, and CKNW Vancouver. His career in sports reporting progressed rapidly, and he took pleasure in connecting with young people and students, motivating and encouraging them to set goals and pursue their dreams.
Recently, Nabil Karim announced on Instagram that he and his family were relocating to Bristol. This meant bidding an emotional farewell to his colleagues and fans in Toronto, marking the end of his tenure on SportsCentre at TSN.
It’s worth noting that there is a notable distinction between “SportsCenter” and “SportsCentre.” The former is ESPN’s flagship show, while the latter is the version aired on TSN in Canada. Nabil’s announcement indicated that he was leaving TSN’s “SportsCentre” to join ESPN’s “SportsCenter.”
