Paul Horton has developed a deep love for Arizona. For a span of nine years, he served as the morning meteorologist and host of the CBS 5 morning show, where he conducted countless live shots throughout the state. The Valley has become his permanent home, and he feels a strong connection to the community.
Currently, Paul shares the weather forecast on Good Evening Arizona at 4 p.m., alongside Yetta Gibson and Derek Staahl. Additionally, he contributes a weekly segment to our Pay It Forward program, highlighting the remarkable contributions of individuals making a positive impact in our community.
Paul completed his studies in the communication and broadcasting program at George Fox University, and he holds a degree in meteorology from Mississippi State University.
With an impressive record of nine Emmy awards, including the prestigious Governor’s Award for his exceptional work on his annual car wash, Paul’s talent and dedication have been widely recognized.
Actively participating in community initiatives holds significant importance for Paul. Each October, Arizona’s Family hosts the Pay It Forward car wash, which supports Big Brothers Big Sisters of Arizona. Over the past 15 years, Paul’s Car Wash has raised over $2 million for this worthy organization.
Originally hailing from Portland, Oregon, Paul has also worked as a weather anchor in Spokane and Cincinnati before finding his way to Phoenix.
During weekends, Paul can often be found hosting events, enjoying hikes, relaxing by the pool, or exploring the wonders of Arizona alongside his wife, Jennifer, and their two children.
