Steve joined WFLA in 1985 and has worked there ever since. He has over 33 years of experience working for the station. In the channel, he started off as a general assignment reporter. Over the years, he has risen up through the ranks to where he is now.

Judging from the awards he has garnered, he has great expertise in the field of investigative journalism with seven Emmy Awards as well as a coveted medal from The Investigative Reporters and Editors Association.

In addition to his work with WFLA, he has also worked with several other stations. He has been in San Antonio, Texas, where he worked with KSAT-TV. He also has been in Portland, Maine where he worked with WGME-TV.
