Steven has left behind the Texas humidity to embrace the dry heat of Arizona. Growing up and spending most of his life in Texas, he pursued a degree in Broadcast Journalism at Sam Houston State University. His passion lies in both news reporting and weather forecasting, and he is adept at juggling both aspects in his work.
Prior to his relocation to Phoenix, Steven accumulated valuable experience at various news stations. He spent four years at FOX 7 Austin news, three years at KRGV in the Rio Grande Valley, and one year at KSNB in Grand Island, Nebraska. During his tenure at these stations, he handled both news reporting and weather forecasting duties.
Steven’s expertise in severe weather coverage has earned him national recognition from FEMA, and he has also received awards for his live news reporting.
Beyond his television appearances, Steven enjoys exploring breweries, traveling to new places, and eagerly sampling any and all culinary recommendations (especially when it comes to BBQ).
