Sukanya Krishnan is an American news anchor who was born on August 2, 1971, Madras, India. Her name is written as; in Tamil: சுகன்யா கிருஷ்ணன் . Alongside Jennifer Lahmers, she is the morning news anchor on Good Day Wake Up, the early addition before Good Day New York on Fox 5 NY WNYW in New York City. Krishnan previously paired with Scott Stanford anchoring for the PIX Morning News on WPIX in New York City.

On August 8, 2001, she joined WPIX for the first time but left to become one of the four hosts of the syndicated TV show Home Delivery in late 2003. In 2005, Krishnan returned to the WB11 Morning News anchor chair which was later renamed CW11 Morning News and presently called PIX Morning News.

For her representation of South Asians in the media, Krishnan has won numerous community service awards, and many others from Indian American organizations. She won her first Emmy for On-Camera Achievement (News Anchor/Host) in 2006 from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS). Krishnan also became the first Indian American woman to work at a local network affiliate in the New York market.
