Warren Buffett is an American Business person, investor, speaker and philanthropist who serves as the chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway. He is known to be the most successful investor in the world.  Warren Buffet  was born and brought up in a place called Omaha, Nebraska. When he was a youth Warren Buffet developed an interest in business and investing. Before transferring and graduating from the University of Nebraska at the age of 19 he had joined Warthon School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1947.

Warren Buffet before entering into a business partnership he attended New York Institute of Finance to focus his economics background including one with Graham.Warran created Buffett partnership after meeting Charlie Munger, and eventually acquired a textile manufacturing firm called Berkshire Hathaway and assumed its name to create a diversified holding company.

He is the largest shareholder and a chairman to Berkshire Hathaway since 1970 this made him acquire the name “Wizard” ,”Oracle” or “Sage” of omaha by global media outlets. He is adherence to value investing and for his personal frugality despite hims immense wealth. According to the research published at the University of Oxford it characterized Buffett’s investment methodology as falling within “Founder centrism”. He concentrated investments shelter managers from the short-term pressures of the market.

Buffet was noted to be a philanthropist having pledged to give away 99 percent of his fortune to philanthropic causes, Primarily via the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

He is the founder of The Giving Pledge in 2009 with Bill Gates. He is also active contributing to political causes, having endorsed Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton in the 2016 U.S presidential election, he has publicly opposed the policies, actions and statements of President Donald Trump.

Warren started school in 1942 at Rose Hill Elementary School, he then moved to Alice Deal Junior School after his father was elected to the first of four terms in United States Congress and moved to Washington with his family. He graduated in 1947 from Woodrow Wilson High School where his senior year book picture was written “Likes math; a future stockbroker”

After completing high school and getting success with his side entrepreneurial and investment ventures he wanted to go directly into business but his father overruled him and he had to join college first.
After completing high school Warren Joined Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1947 where he enrolled due to pressure from his father. Warren studied there for two years where he joined the Alpha Sigma Phil fraternity. He graduated from University of Nebraska at 19 years with a bachelor of Science in Business Administration where he had transferred.

Warren was rejected by Harvard Business School and enrolled at Columbia Business School of Columbia University he attained a Master of Science in Economics from Columbia in 1951 and after he graduated he decided to join The New York Institute of Finance.

Warren started to work in 1951 at Buffet-Falk and Co. as an investment salesman up to year 1956.He also worked from 1954 to 1956 at Graham-Newman corp as a securities analytist ; in 1956 to 1969 he worked at Buffet Partnership, Limited as general partner, he started working as Chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway inc. in 1970.

Warren Buffet operated three partnership in 1956, in 1959 the total number of partnership Warren was operating were five, the company later grew to six partnership and by 1960 he was operating seven partnership.
Warren used one of his partner who was a doctor to find ten other doctors who were willing to invest $10,000 each in partnership and eleven agreed and Warren pooled their money with a mere $ 100 original investment of his own.

Warren did not stop creating partnership, in 1961 he revealed that 35% of the partnership were invested in the Sanborn Map Company.  He said that in 1958 Sanborn stock sold for only $ 45 per share but the investment portfolio for the company was worth $ 65 peer share which meant that Sanborn’s map business was being valued at “minus$ 20.”Warren Buffet ended up purchasing 23% of the company’s outstanding shares as an activist investor,where he became one of the Board of Directors and joined other dissatisfied shareholders to control 44% of the shares.

To avoid unnecessary fight, the Board offered to repurchase shares at fair value where they paid with a portion of its investment portfolio. The 77% outstanding shares were turned in. In just two years Warren Buffett had obtained a 50% return on investment.

Warren in 1984 had stated that they would be no stock split which he never intended to do. Berkshire Hathaway started as textile manufacturing company. it was established in 1839 by Oliver Chace as the Valley Falls Company in Valley Falls, Rhode Island. In 1929 this is when Valley Company merged with Berkshire Cotton Manufacturing Company in Adams, Massachusets to form Berkshire Fine Spinning Associates. Berkshire fine Spinning Associates merged with the Hathaway Manufacturing Company in 1955 to create Berkshire Hathaway.

It is was Headquartered in New Bedford,  it had fifteen plants employing over 12,000 workers with over $ 120 million.
